Work for Universal
Editor for Indian Languages started. Kamban Forum had been created to
facilitate organising of global wide programmers, testers and
developers. |

Annamalai University
of Tamil Nadu has approved KWP ver 3.02 for training in their
University. This had been a major break-through for Kamban Software as
it widens the scope of marketing in India. No other software, outside of
India has achieved this status. |

has approved Kamban Word Processor Version 3.0 for teaching in Singapore

KWP 3.0
was released. The first package to incorporate English and Tamil
Dictionary. This package adapted to standard Tamil GUI (Graphical User
Interface) words, and the
first to be released with both Font and Keyboard standards announced by
Tamil Nadu Government. |

Tamil Nadu
Government announces Keyboard and font standards. TBEDIT to support the
standards was developed and distributed free from the web by Kamban
Software. Vasudevan, developer of Kamban Software was also part of the
standardising committee member appointed by Tamil Nadu Government. This
package is widely used by Tamil Nadu Government and is still popular all
over the world. |

Software goes Internet. The first Tamil Package to have its own Internet
Web Site address - Kamban.com.au.

Kamban Software releases Second version
of the Tamil Word Processor named as KPro. This software is the first
Tamil Software to be released which supported both English, Tamil fonts
and images, This also had the on screen Keyboard and supported saving
files in RTF format. Till to date, KPro had been the forerunner for
Keybaord and Fonts standard. KPro had also introduced Tamil Help files
and Tamil names for most commonly used GUI (Graphical User Interface)
names. Many of these words were later standardised by Tamil Nadu
Governement. |
