  Currently UniEdit is under Beta testing. You can download this here or visit Tamil forum. We also offer two products Tamil Mail (TMAIL) and Tamil Editor ( TBEDIT)  as free for download along with few Tamil fonts. There are three variations of Tamil fonts provided based on their encodings. If you want to include these fonts in commercial website or for distribution purpose, please send an E-Mail to webmaster@kamban.com.au. For users of  KWP Ver 3.0, they can upgrade to ver 3.02 here.

  Universal Editor is still at the Beta Test level. You can download and install the file for testing purpose. Please note that no support is offered while this is in Beta testing. However you are most welcome to share your views and provide your suggestions at Tamil Forum

Setupuedxx.Exe is a self installation file. Note xx stands for Beta version release. Currently it is 0.02. Final release is expected around mid March. Do not forget to visit our Frequently Asked Questions page to learn more about this program, before the download.
 		  
  Kamban 3.02 is the latest in our line of word Tamil word processors. With a demand for Phonetic Keyboard, we have added in  the recent patched version. This also fixes following bugs..
  1. Under Format/Fonts menu, typing words in Font text box  crashes the system, when closed
  2. When Typewriter layout is selected typing in Find/Replace box crashes the system
  3. When Keyboard Layout is changed, Find/Replace Dialog box do not register the keyboard changes until program is re-started
 This file is a self Extracting Zip file. When prompted for running the program directly or saving to a location, select saving to a location. Then select the folder
C:\program files\kamban Software\kwp
to save. Once the download is complete, Select Start button, click on run and type:
"C:\program files\kamban Software\kwp\kwp303.exe" 
(including the Quotations!) This should replace your existing version to New version. Press 'y' to overwrite old files.
The program also contains help files that will replace existing help files

Under Data Directory SampleText.KWP will be installed which will be useful for understanding and learning Phonetic Keyboard layout

Users of 3.0, 3.01 and 3.02 can freely upgrade to this new version.

 

  

 

Tamil Bilingual Editor Program can also be used to send mails, conforms to Tamil Nadu Govt. standards. Released in 1999, this is still the most widely used software for typing in Tamil. Click on the button on the right to download the product

Tamil Mail Program is a simple Mail Program released in 1998 is based on TSCII based on font. This program was our first imitative to support all standards. Click on Button on the right  to register and download the product

TMSetup.Exe is a self installation file. This program will automatically install MaduramTSC and Maduram. MaduramTSC is based on TSCII ver 1.0 standard.

TSCII standard was developed by a group of independent Computer Specialists. Version 1.0 was released in 1998 and in year 2001 Version 1.7 was released. Fonts for both the standards are provided on the right.

MaduramTSC

TSCMaduram

MaduramTSC is based on TSCII standard Version 1.0 and TSCMaduram is based on TSCII standard Version 1.7. Save these fonts to a temporary folder and then install them to the system.

TAM fonts are based on Tamil Nadu Govt. Standard for Monolingual font. That is, this font has only one language - Tamil. This is widely used in Web and generally starts with TAM as prefix.

Three TAM based fonts are provided for private use. Save these fonts to a temporary folder and then install them to the system

TAB fonts are based on Tamil Nadu Govt., Bilingual Font Standard.  TAB is standard opted by Tamil Nadu Govt, to denote the font as Bilingual in nature. That is, the font contains both English and Tamil glyphs

TABMaduram

TAMMaduram and TABMaduram are standard fonts supplied with Tamil Editor. If you do not have Tamil Editor, than you can download this font.
