UniEdit - Universal Indian Language Editor

Kamban Software had been serving the Tamil community for over 10 years now. As we have a built up a reputation and a strong customer base, we have decided to diversify our product range into other Indian Languages. Universal Editor is our first attempt on multiple language package.

Before you download make sure you have Windows XP or Windows 2000 or later version of these Operating Systems. You will have to  install the Indic languages for working of this software. This will install all the Indian fonts that is required for the editor. Click here  for the details of installing the Indian Languages in your system

Currently, in Beta, the UniEdit, is a universal Editor built under Unicode -  universally accepted standard. There will be  three different versions of this software available in the market. The base edition which is UniEdit will be provided free. The program can be downloaded from this site. Other editions to follow are UniEdit-Lite and UniEdit-Pro. Both the applications will be priced at an affordable market price. In addition we will also be supplying UniKey which can be used across all Windows Applications like Tamil Keyboard.

Each Language has a minimum of three Keyboard layouts. DOE standard, Typewriter standard - based on Godrej Typewriter layout and Phonetic Layout. The intuitive design of keyboard allows changing  language and/or keyboard layouts easily  at your finger-tips - or mouse click away! You can even use Shift and Caps lock key on the on-screen keyboard without having to type at all!
